My name is Shauna Kappers, and I am Locolita Designs. I am a freshly graduated Illustrator from Kendall College of Art and Design. Ever since I could pick up a crayon my dream has always been to one day 'grow up' to become as an artist.

I'm a generally happy sort of person and I hate the cold. I've moved around the Great Lakes area my whole life, and someday I hope to live somewhere sunny!  I love horses, a good book, and I'm a huge music appreciator. Oh, and yes, my piercing did hurt. I still totally love it. :)

Locolita Designs is the core of my artistic spirit. The name came to me out of the blue, and it struck a chord. For me, "Locolita" evokes a certain feeling which is central to the art I love to produce. The term 'loco' and 'lolita' blend together and in my mind I instantly envisioned a character who was crazy, but also beautiful. Eventually I came up with a design for my little loony lady. She has calavera facepaint and lolita pigtails. Miss Locolita represents me, my brand, and all the things I hope to find in my art.
